Behind the Lens: Tai Crosby's Odyssey

A seasoned scuba diving instructor and Brooks Institute of Photography alumni, Tai's life took an unexpected turn after a debilitating car accident. In the wake of this adversity, photography became his medium for self-discovery and a testament to overcoming challenges.

Mission Statement of Imagery

"Beauty in Turbidity" is not just a title; it's a mission statement. It encapsulates Tai's artistic philosophy of working with challenges, be it the turbidity in diving or the atmospheric challenges in astrophotography. About the Artist

From the California coast to the landscapes of Japan, Tai Crosby is a global photographer, technologist, and proud Brooks Institute of Photography alum. Guided by the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi, Tai's journey shapes his artistic vision, rooted in finding beauty within life's imperfections.

In the realm of underwater photography, Tai captures the elusive beauty of humpback whales and the silent power of great white sharks. Each frame is a dance of shadows and light, revealing the untamed elegance beneath the surface. Tai's exploration of these aquatic realms is a personal quest, a humble effort to share the beauty discovered in the depths.

Transitioning to the night sky, Tai's astrophotography is a quiet cosmic symphony. The ethereal dance of the Aurora Borealis against landscapes reflects Tai's genuine fascination with capturing stillness and beauty. Through his lens, celestial wonders become a testament to interconnected beauty that transcends boundaries.

Blending his experience as a fashion photographer with a passion for wildlife, Tai seeks to capture intimate portraits, whether a model on set or a great white charging from the depths. Each image is a narrative of resilience—an ode to finding beauty amidst challenges. This mission is embodied in his exhibition, "Beauty in Turbidity."

Tai's career spans the globe, producing immersive experiences and collaborating with clients like AT&T, Colgate, McKinsey & Company, Lionsgate Films, SILVRTHREAD, Belldini, Bishop & Young, Rockstar, and many others. Beyond visual allure, his work explores life's intricacies—an invitation to find beauty in unexpected places and appreciate the subtle symphony in stillness.
